The Facilities Engineer reports to the Facilities Assistant Manager and shall perform such duties as may be consistent with the functions of a Facilities Engineer. You will oversee, direct, and perform maintenance service, inspection, or repairs in building mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, welding, and many other budling related areas and systems. You'll also be responsible for assisting other skilled trades with construction, furniture moving, maintenance, equipment / repairs, install fixtures, etc.
The Facilities Engineer may operate calibration or test equipment, meters, power tools, stationary shop equipment, forklifts, soldering and welding equipment, refrigeration service equipment and various other hand or power tools. May consults on various construction projects as an Engineering expert on various work groups as assigned. You'll also maintain and clean work areas in accordance with established safety procedures. As well as requisition supplies, parts, and equipment as approved.

Work schedule: A typical work week consists of Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week. Shift starting times may vary from 4:00AM to 8:00AM - subject to change based on business need.
Applicants must be flexible to work varying shifts and off hours, including weekends and overtime with little to no advance notice in support of Bank operations.
The Facilities Engineer will also participate in an on-call schedule rotation for off-hours coverage / building emergencies and may be required to respond onsite for situations within the building after normal shift times, or outside of standard business hours/days.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for supervising and participating in the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of applicable electrical equipment, HVAC equipment, building control systems, electric and pneumatic air flow, water, gas/electric, heating and cooling equipment, valves, apparatus and lines used in the distribution of heated, chilled or processed water, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), variable frequency drive units, monitors, card-access systems, fire/life safety systems, and other security features.
Create MOP's and training guides for major building systems, including training staff.
May act as PM for upgrades and repairs for all systems in the Bank. Provides knowledge and expertise for design and upgrade projects as assigned.
Responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining other specialty building systems including fire suppression, custodial equipment, pneumatics, associated lines and air dryers, snow melt systems, currency residue transport/compaction / vacuum systems, vault mechanical components, and other specialty equipment.
Directs, oversees and/or performs all preventive maintenance, equipment safety inspections, and other inspections as assigned.
Adheres to industry safety practices during the performance of all work.
Other Duties: May direct others and participate in responding to Bank employees and other building staff needs through written requests and direction of management.
Responsible for a high level of cleanliness in all work areas, e.g. electrical and mechanical spaces, shops, cubicles, storage locations, etc.
Performs walkthroughs with vendors, engineers, architects, and contractors for cost estimates, makes recommendations for, and oversees building repairs, upgrades or maintenance as directed.
Assists with furniture tear downs, moves and installations, as assigned.
Research's building systems and makes recommendations to Facilities Manager for energy improvements, modernization, equipment replacement or upgrades.
Other duties as assigned.
General Experience: 5 years or more of similar/related experience.
High School or General Education Degree (GED)
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures / O&M manuals, general blueprints, engineering drawings, or governmental regulations.
Ability to effectively gather and present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers.
Ability to interpret an understand an extensive variety of technical instructions.
Must be comfortable using a computer operating in a Windows-based environment utilizing Word, Excel, MS Outlook, and other software-based programs. 
Experience/Certifications/Licensing may be combined and/or substituted in any combination to allow the Bank to hire the candidate with the best overall skillset. The following are some examples that may be applicable, others may be considered: Familiarity with a CMMS program
Project Management Experience
BAS (BACnet) / HVAC Controls Certifications/Experience
VAV/Pneumatic Controls Experience
Professional Trade Experience/Licenses (Plumbing/Electrical/Welding/Mechanical, etc.)
General Carpentry / Framing Experience
Forklift Experience / Certified Operator
ATS/UPS/Back-up Power System Experience or Certifications
CFC/EPA Universal Certification
Haz-Mat/Safety Certifications
Knowledge of Edwards EST3 fire panels
Experience with Chilled water, heat distribution systems. 
Hourly Range: Min: $24.28 - Mid: $31.39 - Max: $38.65 (Location: Salt Lake City)
Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
