Job Summary: This position is responsible for fabricating and welding a varied of metal components according to specifications to support all aspect of our farm operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with various welding techniques and equipment, possess a keen eye for detail, and be able to work efficiently to produce high-quality products. Some of the job functions include:
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements. Fabricate and weld metal components using MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding techniques. Operate welding equipment safely and effectively to join metal parts. Perform quality control checks to ensure welded components meet standards and specifications. Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition. Desired Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience as a welder in a fabrication environment. Welding certification preferred. Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties. Strong understanding of welding safety procedures. Excellent communication skills. Physical Demands and Work Environment: This is a physically active position requiring frequent standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting/carrying objects up to 75 lbs. It requires fine motor skills and dexterity to work with a variety of facilities, equipment, and parts of various sizes. This position usually works in Fabrication shop.
