Responsibilities
• Plan and implement invasive plant management efforts in Franklin, Owen, and Henry County region• Identify and track invasive plant populations in the target region• Develop training and education opportunities• Provide technical guidance to landowners and partners• Pursue funding opportunities and develop new partnerships• Operate university vehicles, herbicide application equipment, and land management implements• Represent KSU and the program professionally• Handle administration, record keeping, and report writing• Travel to project sites and meetings• Conduct other duties as needed
Requirements
• M.S. in Forestry, Wildlife Management, or related field• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience• Must acquire pesticide applicator license• Experience with invasive plant management and land management practices• Experience with project management, public speaking, and written communication• Experience with GIS mapping• Ability to foster a positive work environment for volunteers• Ability to work with diverse individuals• Initiative, punctuality, and teamwork• Ability to work outdoors in adverse conditions• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.• Valid driver's license
