Experienced Diesel Mechanic

Summary: Maxway is seeking a Diesel Mechanic who will provide daily maintenance, repairs and adjustments on all types of gasoline and diesel powered vehicles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to perform simple repairs, adjustments and routine inspections. Diagnose and repair the equipment as needed Inspect, repair and replace tires Routine maintenance on the whole fleet Keep current on manufacturing changes to vehicles and equipment. Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times. Immediately take appropriate measures to insure personal safety and the safety of others. Lift, push and pull 50lbs+ multiple times per shift. Qualifications: Some experience driving a variety of heavy equipment is beneficial but not required. Must have tools Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, operating and maintenance instructions. 2+ years of experience on commercial vehicles and fleet maintenance  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors and the public. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: Exposure to moving mechanical parts and machinery. Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
