CHG's latest project is unique to Morristown, NJ. As the food service manager for a new state-of-the-art, 260,000-square-foot office building, CHG will operate multiple F&B outlets onsite, including a groundfloor restaurant and bar (open to the public), conference catering, pantry services, and pop-up concepts. Role Overview: The Executive Catering Sous Chef is responsible for ensuring a superior experience for our event guests by way of excellent food and hospitality. This position will report to the Executive Chef and be supported by the Assistant Events & Marketing GM. The Executive Catering Sous Chef will organize, plan, and direct all aspects of catering related kitchen operations. This position requires a passion for creating delicious food, building high performing teams, and delivering hospitality in each interaction.
Responsibilities: Lead a high performing kitchen team for catered events and maintain excellence & hospitality throughout each day's service Deliver consistent execution of food and timely flow of service by directing the team and ensuring an efficient service Educate The FOH and BOH Catering Team on all aspects of food menu & culinary procedures through tastings and staff presentation Foster a positive, collaborative work environment for both the service and kitchen teams, ensuring clear communication at all times Ensure that all recipes, product, food preparations and food execution meet the brand's specifications and commitment to culinary excellence. Ensure that back of house operations are kept clean, safe and up to all "A" level health code standards.
