Chelsea Hospitality Group (CHG) is a new sibling brand of Dartcor Food Services—a family-owned corporate dining business with nearly four decades of experience in the tri-state area. CHG is dedicated to creating world-class food and beverage experiences with a focus on people. CHG's latest project is unique to Morristown, NJ. As the food service manager for a new state-of-the-art, 260,000-square-foot office building, CHG will operate multiple F&B outlets onsite, including a groundfloor restaurant and bar (open to the public), conference catering, pantry services, and pop-up concepts. This job presents an incredible opportunity to lead the development and onsite operations team as a senior leader, and to leave an indelible mark on the Morristown community.
Role Overview:  The Executive Catering Sous Chef is responsible for ensuring a superior experience for our event guests by way of excellent food and hospitality. This position will report to the Executive Chef and be supported by the Assistant Events & Marketing GM. The Executive Catering Sous Chef will organize, plan, and direct all aspects of catering related kitchen operations. This position requires a passion for creating delicious food, building high performing teams, and delivering hospitality in each interaction.
Responsibilities: Lead a high performing kitchen team for catered events and maintain excellence & hospitality throughout each day's service  Deliver consistent execution of food and timely flow of service by directing the team and ensuring an efficient service Educate The FOH and BOH Catering Team on all aspects of food menu & culinary procedures through tastings and staff presentation Foster a positive, collaborative work environment for both the service and kitchen teams, ensuring clear communication at all times Ensure that all recipes, product, food preparations and food execution meet the brand's specifications and commitment to culinary excellence. Ensure that back of house operations are kept clean, safe and up to all "A" level health code standards. Lead the Catering Team to ensure all team members are appropriately trained to execute the assigned station properly Provide feedback and guidance with excellence and hospitality in mind, ensuring that all team members have a pathway for growth and development Consistently look for internal and external opportunities to build our growing team Qualifications: 3+ years of Sous Chef experience in hotel banquette and/or catering setting Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, restaurant scheduling, inventory and purchasing experience necessary English fluency and Spanish preferred, but not required Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time Benefits: Salary: $90k-$100k Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Life and Vision insurance 401(k) to help you invest in your future Paid time off to help support your life outside of work A clear career path with opportunities for growth, both professionally and personally An opportunity to make a lasting impact in the Morristown community  Work alongside collaborative team members who support CHG's core values and are eager to be a part of CHG's founding operation
