We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Events Assistant to support our event planning and execution efforts. This role is perfect for individuals who are highly organized, adaptable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. As an Events Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting with the logistics, coordination, and implementation of our organization's events and activities.
Responsibilities: Assist in the planning and coordination of events, including logistics, venue selection, vendor management, and scheduling. Prepare event materials, including signage, name tags, and promotional materials, and ensure all supplies are organized and readily available. Support registration and check-in processes for event attendees, providing excellent customer service and assistance as needed. Assist with event setup and breakdown, including arranging furniture, decorations, and audiovisual equipment. Coordinate with vendors, sponsors, and volunteers to ensure smooth execution of events and adherence to budget and timeline. Assist with event promotion and marketing efforts, including social media posts, email newsletters, and website updates. Provide on-site support during events, including managing registration desks, directing attendees, and addressing any issues or concerns. Assist with post-event activities, such as data entry, attendee feedback collection, and event evaluation. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (college students or recent graduates are welcome to apply). Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, customer service, or related field is a plus but not required. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor. Detail-oriented with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive event experience for attendees. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn event management software. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for event coverage.
