Oasis Systems has an excitring opportunity for an Equipment Specialist to support the USAF Weather Systems Division, whcih is within the USAF Digital Directorate and located at Tinker AFB, OK. RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will provide acquisition and sustainment logistics support for assigned programs. Apply logistics best commercial practices and DoD directed concepts such as Performance-Based Logistics (PBL), Public Private Partnering (PPP), and supply chain management in performance of this work.
Review and recommend changes to program-unique specifications to include system specifications, development specifications, and product specifications for both hardware and software, for proper format, content, and compliance with program requirements and standards Provide technical support and analysis on field, depot and modification program issues Prepare or assist with preparation of Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) to support configuration changes and inspections Support execution of Configuration Control Boards (CCB) and subordinate board (e.g. Technical Review Board -TRB) directives by partnering with the Technical Content Managers to manage the publication and distribution of technical order changes Monitor modification parts listings to identify items not loaded in the National Stock Number (NSN) system Monitor and process parts lists utilized under contractor logistics support for provisioning and configuration management planning and documentation Provide technical maintenance and technical order support to users; regularly by telephone, email, and local meetings or irregularly by direct field-support. QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD. Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to work in a multi-disciplined environment with an adaptive personality. Candidate should have excellent communication skills - both oral and written - and possess analytical skills to identify and fault isolate problems/issues, accurately assess relevance of information, generate and evaluate alternatives, and provide solution recommendations.
