Job Description AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Engineer to join our Remediation team for complex sites. You will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering remediation consulting services to our key clients.
The position includes work on environmental (soil, sediment, surface or groundwater) remediation system evaluation, design, and monitoring, and/or in the evaluation and design of wastewater and air pollution control systems. You will support the team through various measures and resources that will be available to you.
AECOM offers full life-cycle solutions for projects – from due diligence through restoration and redevelopment to outreach programs that engage stakeholders and generate goodwill in the community. Our experts integrate scientific and engineering knowledge with responsive and cost-effective project management, strong communication skills, and an understanding of regulatory strategies and challenges.
The job responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:
Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests. Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered. Identifies discrepancies in results. Provides guidance to entry level engineers. Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : BA/BS + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Valid Driver's License with a good driving record US Citizenship is required PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field 3+ years of experience in environmental investigations and site remediation Experience with CERCLA and RCRA remediation programs at complex sites OSHA 40-hr Hazardous Waste Operations Training Eligible to obtain Professional Engineering License Additional Information Sponsorship is not available for this position Relocation is not available for this position All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
