The position responsible for assisting in all facets of field research and seed processing.?Team members will aid with an array of outdoor field duties and indoor lab duties. Successful applicants need to be self-motivated individuals with the ability to interact in a team and work independently.
Job Description Indoor Responsibilities may include: Receiving shipments and supplies Scanning Cleaning Treating Sorting Counting seed Data collection using electronic devices Data labeling and warehousing seed work Individuals may also be responsible for preventive maintenance of equipment in assigned areas. Outdoor Field Responsibilities include: Assisting with planting Staking research plots Pollinating Data collection using electronic devices Research plot maintenance Hand harvest Process improvement projects Preventive maintenance of equipment Aiding with spraying Other special projects Skills Required Ability to perform repetitive job tasks accurately. Able to perform physical activities such as bending, lifting, and long periods of standing. Field labor activities occur outdoors for long periods of time with exposure to the elements. Team members may need to drive company vehicles during work hours. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written tasks and safety instructions delivered in English. Ability to lift to 40lbs. Experience with or ability to learn Microsoft Office and iOS devices for data collection. Ability to perform repetitive job tasks accurately. Past pesticide application experience is desirable but not required. Education/Training/Certifications High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Additional Requirements Must be able to pass drug screen. Must be 18 years of age minimum. Valid driver's license Compliance with company and USDA-APHIS trainings and policies is required. Weekend work and extended hours will be required during the peak seasons. Shift: AM - 08:00 AM Pay Rate/Salary Estimated Salary: $20.00 to $28.00 per hour based on qualifications.
