What you'll doBecome part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:Conduct NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) testing on vehicles during various stages of development to identify and mitigate noise and vibration issues.Develop and implement test plans and procedures for NVH validation tests, including vehicle component testing and full-vehicle evaluations.Utilize specialized equipment such as microphones, accelerometers, and vibration analyzers to measure and analyze NVH characteristics.Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop solutions for NVH issues, including modifying vehicle components, adjusting materials, or refining vehicle geometry.Perform subjective evaluations of vehicle NVH characteristics through subjective assessments and customer clinics to ensure alignment with target market expectations.Interpret and communicate NVH test results to cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and management, to drive decision-making and product improvements.Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to NVH testing and mitigation techniques.Support the development and implementation of NVH simulation models to predict and optimize vehicle NVH performance early in the design process.Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with NVH requirements and specifications for components and materials used in vehicle construction.Participate in vehicle prototype builds and pre-production vehicle evaluations to validate NVH improvements and ensure product readiness for mass production. Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, MI. Here's what else you'll bring: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant field.4+ years of experience in NVH, with a preference for experience in the automotive industry.Proficiency in conduction NVH testing on vehicles using various measurement tools and equipment.Knowledge in NVH principles, theories and standards to analyze and interpret test results effectivelyExperience in developing NVH test plans and protocols to validate vehicle designs and componentsAbility to identify and troubleshoot NVH issues during vehicle development stagesFamiliarity with simulation tools and software for predictive NVH analysis and virtual testingUnderstanding of vehicle systems and components affection NVHCapability to propose and implement NVH solutions and countermeasures to meet or exceed target levels of noise and vibrationSolid understanding of vehicle development and products tailored to automotive-specific requirements, with a focus on enhancing delivery quality, security, and developer experience.Experience in developing and testing products that meet automotive-grade standards and comply with industry regulations.Strong interpersonal skills, including ownership, self-motivation, problem-solving, analytical thinking, teamwork, innovation, creativity, and effective communication abilities.
