This position works Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8AM-8PM. No weekends are scheduled, however they can be picked up to additional hours if available.
The Employment Services - Job Coach is responsible for helping to build meaningful lives for the clients we serve and for enhancing the quality of their lives. This is accomplished through the implementation of person-centered planning, client goals, promoting development of life skills, community integration & self-assuring experiences in a manner consistent with the policies and procedures of Hills and Dales. The Employment Services Personal Assistant provides employment services to the clients of Hills and Dales and-functions independently within the constraints of organizational policy and procedure to assure clients receive the highest quality services possible
This position works with more complex clients who struggle at times regulating their behavior. The agency supports employees in becoming trained in supporting challenging behavior, but this role is especially for the patient, the dedicated, and positive thinker to support clients in their potential.
POSITION DETAILS: WED, THURS, FRIDAY every week 8A-8P. Staring wage of $19.15-20.75 hr based on experience, education, etc. 3-day work week, NO WEEKENDS, over 200 days off work while working full time status. Option to pick up additional shifts on weekend or other days. Weekends pay premium pay of 1.5x base wage. Free of a conviction or prior employment history of child or resident abuse or dependent adult abuse. Eighteen years of age or older. High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in Business, Human Services or related field, or a combination of education and experience equivalency preferred. Valid driver's license with proof of insurance, if required. Within 6 months of employment must become certified in QBS (if required), CPR/First Aide & maintain these certifications. Continue required on going annual training as identified in the Iowa Administrative Codes Within 6 months of employment complete medication manager certification and maintain such certification. Obtain Certified Employment Specialist Professional (CESP) or equivalent certification and/or pass ACRE accredited training, as identified in the Iowa Administrative Codes. Attain and maintain QBS Certification.
