Description of role

The Platform User Experience Design group is responsible for various user-facing control devices across the Imaging modalities, including CT, MR, Xray, and IGS. We are currently working on updates for upcoming next-generation systems. Devices include the Platform SCIM, in-room microphones and speakers for the MR intercom system, and operator control panels. The candidate would:
Perform detailed electrical design work, including schematic capture and layout
Work with suppliers to build and receive prototypes
Develop and write Test Plans for various devices
Install prototypes in bays and verify functionality to the design requirements
Manage reliability and certification testing in collaboration with internal and external labs
Write test reports and provide feedback to the suppliers

Work hours: 40 hours per week, typical hours 8-5 but with some needs for morning and night meetings with team members and suppliers in China. Hours are flexible. Work from home acceptable 1 day per week.
