Job Title Distribution Group Leader Job Description Distribution Group Lead As our Group Lead in our distribution center, you will use your leadership and organizational skills, while assisting and sharing knowledge with distribution associates. As well, you will have the chance to ensure quality, while looking for ways to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of the organization's systems, processes and tools. This role will be on the 2nd shift from 3:00pm to 11:00pm. Your role will be focused on: Leading, directing, controlling and prioritizing the actions of functional teams of Distribution Clerks in various activities within the distribution center. Implementing general guidelines and specific objectives to accomplishment functional distribution operations. Insuring the safe and proper use of equipment, compliance with quality procedures and efficient use of resources. Providing training and guidance to associates, while acting under the general supervision of management, to insure the successful accomplishment of daily objectives. Successfully resolving standard and non-standard issues dealing with carriers, customers, other distribution and corporate services teams. In conjunction with the management team, suggesting and implementing process, quality and system changes, for the enhancement and efficiency of the distribution center. Functioning as a leader, while demonstrating a technical skills and team player mentality, to accomplishment assigned tasks. Maintain a solid understanding of the applicable policies and procedures for all areas of the distribution operations. Leading daily management boards, pre and post shift with other group leads. You're the right fit if:  You've acquired 3+ years of experience within Manufacturing or Distribution and preferably 2 + years within a Philips Respironics Distribution Center or similar experience within another professional distribution center. Experience with industry products is required as the position mandates an understanding of Philips Respironics products and their applications. Your skills include working knowledge of freight terms and processes, SAP, Federal Express and UPS shipping systems. This includes documenting/running reports within SAP and working with Microsoft Word and Excel (required). Experience leading projects or being part of a change team preferred. You have a High School diploma or GED, required, Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in a business related field, preferred or equivalent work experience. You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position .  You're also have the ability to work the Individual shift assignment which is eight hours on 2nd shift 3:00pm to 11:00pm, overtime is frequent and can include Saturdays. May be required to flex time schedule according to business and training needs. Proficiency in role requires routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, and other similar items; requires the ability to perform in a warehouse environment where environmental factors such as heat/cool may not be able to be controlled. You must have the ability to move objects from one place to another and have the ability to lift 15 pounds on a continuous basis and up to 40 pounds infrequently. Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position.  For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Mount Pleasant, PA.
