Job Description and Duties Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager III of Sales Support & Distribution (SS&D), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA), is responsible for a variety of analystical and development assignments associated with SS&D's product distribution and contracts. This position requires a current AGPA exam. If you need to take the exam or if your score has expired, click to gain list eligibility.

This position is headquartered in Sacramento and is eligible for either a remote-based or office-based telework schedule. Employees must be able to report to their assigned headquarters office as needed. Travel expense to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. Eligibility for telework requires employee residence in California per California Government Code Section 14200 which states: "telecommuting means the partial or total substitution of computers or telecommunication technologies, or both, for the commute to work by employees residing in California.

Working Conditions Schedule: Monday – Friday (8AM – 5PM) Travel: Travel will be required, as needed, generally not more than two weeks per year. Other: Position will be required to work out of Lottery or vendor facilities and attend in-person meetings. Special Requirements The California State Lottery Act provides that no person may be hired as an employee of the Commission if that person has been convicted of a felony or any gambling related offense. Desirable Qualifications In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
Experience withstrategic budget planning and budget tracking.
Experience with working in project teams.
Experience preparing competitive bids for contracted services. Experience managing and documenting contract performance based on internal controls and key performance indicators. Experience organizing and analyzing complex data sets. Experience analyzing complex programs and/ or contracts. Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Experience with research and analytical review.
Experience with report writing and presentations.

Statement of Qualifications must address the following:
1. Describe your experience providing timely accurate forecasts based on large sets of data. How did you collect, organize and draw conclution from the data? What tools did you use to analyze the data?
2. Describe your experience provding time sensitive and accurate information to internal and external stakeholders.
3. Describe your experience conducting research and providing a summary of your research findings to stakeholders on complex issues.
