Helen Newberry Joy Hospital & Healthcare Center invites applications for the full-time Director of Human Resources position. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the overall Human Resources of the Hospital. The Director is responsible for recruiting and staffing, performance management, employee and labor relations, contract negotiations, employee communication, and employee safety. The Director is responsible for the development of departmental policies, procedures, goals and objectives.
The Director must have a philosophy that is consistent with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the organization. The Director must have the ability to work with patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers, must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and be detail oriented, must have excellent knowledge of and commitment to, the principles and practices of continuous quality improvement, and must be self motivated and able to work independently and as a team member in a sometimes fast paced environment. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field; Masters preferred. SPHR or PHR certification preferred. Benefit administration, employee and labor relations, and contract negotiation experience required. Three to Five years of Human Resources Management experience required. Healthcare experience preferred. Salary commensurate with experience.
