Director of Equipment Job Summary : Dynamic and strategic leader that oversees the WW Clyde equipment operations across three divisions and multiples states. Responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to optimize equipment utilization, enhance efficiency, and drive cost-effectiveness across our divisions and projects. Foster strong relationships with equipment vendors and implement innovative technology solutions, while leading a team to ensure the highest standards of equipment performance and maintenance. Organizational Overview: This position reports to the president of WW Clyde and will have each of the Division Equipment Managers as direct reports. The Director of Equipment will be based in the Intermountain Division (Orem, Utah) with some travel expected to the Southwest Division (Phoenix, AZ) and the Great Plains Division (Denver, CO). WW Clyde does approximately $600 million in annual revenue with expectations to grow significantly over the next several years.

Duties and Responsibilities :
Visualize, fulfill, and implement the vision and core values. Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures. Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize equipment utilization and maximize ROI. Evaluate current processes and organizational structure. Recommend and implement changes to improve department and company results. Own the capital expenditure strategy for all company equipment, strategically building and managing the entire fleet of equipment for WWC. Develop and monitor department and division budgets and financial performance metrics, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Supervise and lead others in the equipment department. Hold team members accountable to company desired outcomes and processes while driving a high level of team member engagement. Generate and oversee equipment rates. Grow and develop Equipment Managers and equipment staff. _____________________________________________________________________________________________
Required Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Attributes :
Financial Acumen – Understanding of and ability to make decisions using company and department P&L. Sense of Urgency – Ability to make sound decisions timely in fast-paced environment. Love of heavy equipment – Equipment is your passion, but you can let it go when it makes financial sense. Strong communication skills – Ability to give and receive honest feedback while driving team member engagement. Strong customer service mentality Ability to get work done through others using effective delegation, scheduling, and time management practices. Desired Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Attributes :
Understanding of DOT regulations for working across multiple states in the western US. AEMP Certification – not required but nice to have!
