About This Position ChristianaCare is searching for a Director of Imaging Services to be responsible for the administrative and operational activities and staff for in-hospital and outpatient imaging services at our Union Campus in Elkton, MD. The Director will coordinate the activities of imaging services for optimum productivity and service and participate in strategic planning and marketing endeavors for Imaging Services. Prospective candidates need to have:
Strong financial acumen and managing operational and capital budgets Experience or strong desire to learn Maryland's "all-payer" system Strong skills in building relationships Principal duties and responsibilities: Direct responsibility for finance and capital/operating budgets for in-hospital and outpatient imaging locations.
Monitors and analyzes performance and productivity and implements necessary corrective plans.
Ensure leaders know and understand what variances are occurring in their operational areas of oversight based on budgeted projections versus actual numbers.
Continuously assesses and improves the department performance based on the department's quality plan, monitors and patient/caregiver satisfaction data.
Leads Performance Improvement program and conducts monthly meetings reporting to Executive Director and Medical Director.
Responsible for the design and development of future services and projects.
Participates in strategic planning and development of departmental goals.
Participates in development of marketing plans and strategies.
Actively engaged with the Community Engagement Department.
Compliance with regulatory agencies.
Conducts regular and periodic staff meetings for Administrative Staff and Supervisors.
Provides necessary education, orientation and support to the management team.
Collaborate with systemwide management and administration to cultivate alliances and partnerships.
Works closely across the system to mitigate issues brought forward by medical staff and referring physician practices.
Supports supervisors in both in-hospital and outpatient Imaging for human resource activities.
Education and experience requirements: Master's Degree or MBA in Health Administration or related field.
Five years management experience required in the field of Medical Imaging.
Strong Financial Acumen and experience managing operational and capital budgets required.
General knowledge of Maryland All Payor model, preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
