Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Customer Education Director to lead our Customer Education program, including oversight University. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing a scalable customer training initiative, integrating online eLearning, instructor-led sessions, certifications, and more. Your blend of interpersonal skills, technical acumen, and commitment to service excellence will drive success in this multifaceted position.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and refine a comprehensive training program informed by domain research, user feedback, and strategic business objectives.
Lead and mentor a team of product trainers, instructional designers, and Education operations personnel, fostering their professional growth and ensuring alignment with established workflows.
Evaluate existing training systems and resources, identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative training activities, including virtual instructor-led sessions.
Collaborate with Product Management to advocate for product enhancements that enhance customer experience and streamline internal operations.
Oversee the creation and maintenance of course materials, leveraging technology to facilitate virtual training sessions.
Evolve existing educational offerings to add value through fee-based or value-added services, while also identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
Monitor training program effectiveness and make adjustments as needed to meet evolving business needs.
Own the annual OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) for the customer education team and establish quarterly priorities to achieve annual goals.
Recruit and nurture a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Sponsor content and education projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
Collaborate with Sales and Customer Value Managers to promote Education programs and drive customer adoption and retention.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in a customer education role, with at least 3 years of SaaS management experience preferred.
Proven track record of managing teams and driving organizational evolution to meet new challenges.
Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and project management best practices.
Ability to collaborate effectively with Subject Matter Experts to identify training needs and develop tailored educational programs.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience with project management, balancing strategic vision with tactical execution to achieve key milestones.
Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, or a related field preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
The expected base salary range for this position is $145,000.00 - $170,000 annually.
Compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
