We are looking for an experienced DSP or caregiver with at least 8-12 months recent experience working with adults with developmental disabilities. You will a fixed schedule as a 4 Day Weekend Day Shift staff working 4 consecutive days - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. (This is NOT a Sat/Sun only position) Dedicated Weekend Day Shift hours are 9am - 7pm. Must have reliable transportation and excellent verbal, written and computer documentation skills. You will be supporting adult individuals between ages 18 and 60+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities that live in their own home in the Vancouver area.
*New hire bonus: $500 after working your first 90 days +an additional $500 after completing your first 6 months of work with all training completed. $20.95/hour Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday (4 consecutive days) Shift hours are 9am-7pm Guaranteed 10 hour days/ 40 hours week Must have at least 8 months - 1 year+ experience working as a DSP or caregiver for multiple individuals Experience using Therap a plus 75 hours paid caregiver training* (must complete all required training) Benefits-medical/vision, dental, HSA Life insurance 401K with matching after 1 year Employee Referral Program 1st time/1st year NAR (Nursing Assistant Registered) license paid Opportunities for advancement (Lead Staff, Peer Coach, Supervisor, House Manager) Additional employee bonuses, family events, parties, etc. Position requirements Must be able to work 10 hour shifts Must be able to work a consecutive shift Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday Must have reliable transportation to go from site to site Must have at least 8 months supported living or caregiving experience Must have experience and knowledge of working with a variety of individuals and disabilities Experience with Therap a plus Key Responsibilities Assist adults with their personal care - personal hygiene, bathing/grooming, dressing Daily tasks include light housekeeping, laundry, and keeping the home safe and comfortable for the individuals we support Plan meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving food/meals Accompany individuals to their scheduled appointments and activities such as swimming, the movies, shopping at the mall, etc. Remind and assist individuals with self-administration of medications Document services provided using computer Agency Requirements: -Be at least 18 Years or older Be Able to Pass a Washington State Criminal Background Check Have the Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely Must be able to move quickly, lift, transfer, stand for periods of time Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with using a computer for documentation Check us out at Job Type: Full-time
