Do you have a deep passion for enabling and accelerating customer success? Are you a Splunk power user who wants to empower other users to build cool new solutions and extensions on top of Splunk? If so, we need you as Splunk's new Developer Marketing Specialist!
Join us and work across various functions - Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales and Customer Success to build the go-to-market strategy for our developer audience. Splunk is a platform, and apps are integral to innovation and building solutions for diverse customers around the world. Today, we have 3000+ applications listed in Splunkbase (Splunk App Store) and close to 1000 developers participating in building innovative solutions at scale. As a Developer Marketing Specialist you'll encourage and inspire our customers and partners to build private and public apps published on Splunkbase, with integrated/embedded ML as applicable. Bring your creativity and talent to provide a steady cadence of engaging and educational activations like workshops and hackathons to champion best-in-class app quality and overall Splunk adoption. Develop positive relationships with our developers, empowering customer success as a source of experience and insight.
What You'll Get To DoConduct persona research to understand our customers' and partners' challenges and map out the ideal Splunk Developer customer journey.

Collaborate with the Splunk Community to drive messaging, communications and strong feedback loops to influence product strategy.

Get hands-on with building valuable new integrations and add-ons to our portfolio with embedded ML (eg. Splunk Apps, SOAR Playbooks, OTel integrations) and represent Splunk as a technical leader, inspiring and empowering our customers and partners.

Help create demos, presentations, solutions briefs, technical and non-technical product videos, articles, playbooks etc.

Scope and deliver webinars, educational workshops, learning paths, office hours and trade show presence catering to the needs of the Splunk Developer audience.

Report on results to understand audience reach, engagement and attribution to customer/business impact.

Must-have qualifications3+ years of experience in Developer Relations and/or Product Marketing with a strong technical background, solid understanding of Splunk is a HUGE plus.

Outstanding written and oral communications skills including ability to craft differentiated positioning and messaging, develop customer facing assets, build effective sales enablement and deliver compelling presentations.

Consistent collaborator, and business partner, directly contributing to teams to achieve overall objectives. A team player who is able to influence across organization boundaries without direct authority.

Self-starter who truly enjoys working in fast-paced, high-growth, and career-defining environments, someone who brings a versatile skill set and has a bias for action.

Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science or related field; MBA preferred.

Note:
Base Pay Range SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay Range: $108,000.00 - 148,500.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range: $97,200.00 - 133,650.00 per year
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $86,400.00 - 118,800.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards. Benefits are an important part of Splunk's Total Rewards package.
