The Full stack Developer will support the Cargo Commercial Technology team with e-strategy, price quote tool and API direct initiatives. This is a part of the overall digitization effort in bringing in self-service and efficiency to the internal and external cargo customers. The resource will be working on development activities as per United's project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
The Full stack Developer will advance the delivery and support United's security remediation along with development using below technologies.
• Performs security remediation for Vera code, Wiz and other security scans
• Develop and support Data related work items in eCargo and related platforms using ETL/Ab Initio, AWS Redshift, AWS DynamoDB, db optimization SQL/NoSQL
• Performs other duties as developer using Java & Node.js; React.js as project need arises
• Strong communication skills, for liaising with project leaders and teams.
• Software engineering and system design knowledge is a must.
Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
• Bachelor's Degree and three years of work experience, or in lieu of a Bachelor's
• 5+ experience with Node.js developing APIs (must have), and nice to have knowledge of python, and/or other scripting languages, express.js, next.js
• 5 years experience implementing AWS technologies (Lambda, CloudFront, Cognito, route53, Dynamo DB, ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway)
• Experience with Cloud Automation Development Tool such as Git, Python/Bash/PowerShell Scripting
• Experience with Docker, including management and deployment using a scheduler such as the Elastic Container Service or Kubernetes.
• Thorough knowledge of Docker, Docker Compose, Docker Swarm or similar container technologies.
• Knowledge of Java
• Event Processing; Tibco & Kafka integrations
• Experience in RESTful APIs
• Experience in CI/CD, Team City, GitHub
• Experience in agile environment
• Oral and written communication skills
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
