FRDA, LLC is a boutique national security consultancy with worldwide operations. We provide specialized solutions to agencies of the US Intelligence Community, military Special Operations Forces, and other national security partners. Our Advisory practice executes customers' intelligence and advanced research missions globally, while our Training practice delivers cutting edge tradecraft training to select organizations. Job Purpose: The Desk Officer works onsite for a US Government client and supports that client's worldwide operations on specific issues or geographies.

Key Duties & Responsibilities Support a wide range of operational and programmatic activities to manage operations in specific geographic areas, or against specific issuesManage and track ongoing program progress; staff appropriate approvals; conduct substantive briefings; communicate client guidance to global resourcesConduct detailed analysis using government databases and writing standardsDraft formal correspondence per government client standardsAll other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Experience: Level 1: One (1) or more years of demonstrated relevant work experienceLevel 2: Three (3) or more years of demonstrated relevant work experienceLevel 3: Seven (7) or more years of demonstrated relevant work experienceLevel 4: Twelve (12) or more years of demonstrated relevant work experienceLevel 5: Twenty (20) or more years of demonstrated relevant work experienceBachelor's degree (BA/BS) from an accredited college or universityDirect experience related to intelligence research and desk officer work. Prior experience in supporting HUMINT operations or familiarity with the Intelligence Community and its objectives.Experience in client-specific global National Security issues, including formal training, certification, and global work experienceCurrent US Government TS/SCI security clearance and polygraphWillingness to work on-site in the Washington, DC areaPreferred Skills/Experience: Advanced skills in common desktop applications, internet, and social media useThis is a customer-facing position representing FRDA to client employees. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are a must.Highly motivated, self-starter with demonstrated ability to spot new opportunities and spearhead new initiativesA friendly and collaborative attitude; ability to work well independently and in groups with minimal supervision; ability to navigate ambiguity, embrace client oversight at all levels, and balance competing demandsTechnical savvy is a must.
