Job Summary:
CNPC USA is actively seeking creative, innovative, best-in-class experts to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer with expertise in completion tool design, testing and product support. The Design Engineer will be responsible for directing, coordinating and exercising functional authority for engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility. The Design Engineer reports directly to the Manager of Completions and Stimulations.
Responsibilities:
Conduct all business activities in agreement with CNPC USA core values.Develop new products according to customer requirements from concept study to final product qualification and support.Modify existing products to incorporate new technology or functional improvements.Create models and drawings complying CNPC USA standard and ISO standard.Provide support for manufacturing and production of downhole tools.Follows the creative process from idea inception to production of products.Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications and drawing releases.Measures machine and parts during production to ensure compliance with design specifications.Uses computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs.Work closely with the Completions Manager to ensure projects are in line with organizational goals.Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, and five plus years of experience as a mechanical designer, or eight to ten years as a mechanical designer.Legally authorized to work in the United States of America
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described her are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing and the ability to lift 20lbs and bend is required.
Travel:
This position requires some overnight international and domestic travel. Local travel between other CNPC USA locations and testing facilities is required.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, however does act as a mentor and point of contact for all mechanical design engineers.
