DescriptionIn this role, your primary focus will be on fulfilling the organization's data and analytics requirements. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining robust data extraction and reporting processes, encompassing SQL query writing, stored procedures, views, and SSIS packages. Additionally, you will contribute to ensuring data quality, crafting technical documentation, and undertaking various data stewardship responsibilities. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in offering end-user support, diagnosing issues, implementing solutions, and documenting procedures.
ResponsibilitiesAssistance in utilization of ASHA's data assets through:Extraction of data using database queries;Data process development using stored procedures, functions, and views;Curation of datasets to support Business Intelligence processes.Assessment and fulfillment of analytics needs including:End-user support for the Association Management System (AMS);Diagnoses and troubleshooting problems with existing queries and reports;Technical assistance to end users.Write and maintain technical process documentation for applications and processes.Process list requests for end users through the support of a list cutting tool or development of custom queries.Work in concert with ASHA's Data Architect to transform data and create and manage SSIS packages between internal applications and ASHA data warehouses or data marts.Assist with creation and maintenance of data pipelines as needed for the transfer of data among ASHA systems, both internal and external.Create and maintain SQL jobs and ETL processes.QualificationsKnowledge Typically Acquired ThroughObtaining a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems Management, or a related field,A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.Scope and Depth of Technical Skills/KnowledgeDemonstrated proficiency in writing SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views and SSIS packages.Experience with any or all of the following programming languages and/or tools: Visual Studio, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Integration services, BIML, Microsoft Azure, C#, and/or Power BI;Experience in data warehouse/data mart development and business intelligence reporting;Experience with Microsoft OSs and 365 productivity tools;Demonstrated experience supporting a data and analysis life cycle;Experience preferred in the curation of data sources for use in BI reporting;Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new data storage solutions and approaches;Demonstrated ability to analyze and document user requirements;Familiarity with Azure Data Factory and pipeline creation or maintenance would be advantageous but not required.Scope and Depth of Non-Technical Skills/KnowledgeStrong customer service skills;Analytical and technical problem-solving skills;Strong attention to detail and concern for data quality and data stewardship;Passion to provide data-based analysis and recommendations;Ability to easily adapt to changing priorities;Strong teamwork skills and oral communication skills;Ability to produce clear, precise technical documentation;Ability to translate user requirements into program specifications.
