Sigma Defense is seeking a creative individual to join our team as a 3D Modeler . As a 3D Modeler, you will take a role in developing 3D assets for AR/VR and mixed reality systems that will help Navy sailors improve their situational readiness in high-fidelity training simulations. You will be responsible for creating realistic 3D digital twins of real-world objects and environments that are used in an AR/VR space. You will also be involved in creating lightweight, high-fidelity 3D game assets and animations for use in an AR/VR multiplayer application. You must be able to work closely with the customer to understand their vision and turn it into reality.

Requirements 2 - 4 years of relevant experience with 3D modeling tools and software, including, but not limited to Blender and or Maya. Understanding of rendering, texturing, shaders, lighting, and animation principles. Ability to create materials and optimized surface shaders. Experience with virtual reality and/or augmented reality hardware (Meta Quest, Hololens). Experience with data collection i.e. photogrammetry software, photography, 3D scanning. Proven experience creating digital twins of real-world objects and spaces for use in gaming applications. Unity game development knowledge of interfaces, tools, and capabilities is a plus. Ability to utilize 3D modeling, texture, mapping, and other techniques to create game assets, visual effects, and animations that are optimized for Unity game engine or equivalent. Personnel Clearance Level: Candidate must possess an active, DoD issued Secret security clearance. Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually.
