Cylinder Assembly Technician Department:Direct LaborLocation:Puyallup, WA
About the Role: Inspect and re-assemble hydraulic cylinders used in industrial, mining and construction industry. Measure and record dimensional information, analyze cause of failure, and develop a recommended repair quotation for the customer.
Job Responsibilities: Maintain a clean, safe and professional work area.Disassemble, and re-assemble large hydraulic cylindersProduce a quality product every timeRig and safely lift large cylinder rods and barrelsPerform other duties as assignedUse a forklift safely – training / certification providedAbility to write-up quotes and bill of materials (BOMs) associated with the performance of repair and maintenance work.Use of precision measuring equipment.Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 DOE
Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of mechanicsWorking knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to a shop working environment and repair activities.Skilled in operation of necessary tools and equipment.Willingness to learnWork with a team and self-directedUse of various hand and power-driven shop tools.Communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing.Clear handwritingConsistent use of PPEPhysical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs., ability to climb a ladderWork Environment: Manufacturing plant shop environmentExposure to moving mechanical parts. Exposure to elements such as odor, hydraulic fluids, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals.
