Pay Rate: Up to $24/HR based on Exp. Hours: M-F 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
What's a typical day as a Cutter/Grinder Operator? You'll be:
• Sharpening various types of milling cutters, drills, taps or turning tools as required.
• Manufacturing special form relieved cutters.
• Maintaining inventory of cutter grinding supplies.
• Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining maintenance needs.
• Maintaining quality standards and recording quality results.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques to maximize the effective manufacture of distribution of goods. Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Be able to determine the kind of tools and equipment they will need in order to do the job properly. The skill to conduct tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance. Watches gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. Must be detail oriented and meticulous and have excellent communication skills. Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Have full understanding of the implications of new information for both current and future problem solving and decision making. The Tool Grinder needs the ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. Needs the ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time. Needs the ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce viable answers.
