Customer Service Optician needed
Our team needs a compassionate and dedicated professional to help our patients
leave our office looking stylish in their perfect new pair of glasses. You'll be
helping our patients choose the right glasses for them based on their personal
style, lifestyle needs, prescription, and more. This is not just some sales job, your
role is to be an educator and a style consultant. This is a full-time position
offering the stability of a career in healthcare.
NO Experience Needed:
Prior medical office or eye care experience is a plus, but it's certainly not
required. We offer paid training to the right person with a great attitude, a helpful
heart, and a love of learning!
Some of your duties will include:
- Helping people pick out frames that suit them based on the shape of their face,
bridge fit, lifestyle, and prescription.
- Determining the best lens types, materials, coatings, and brands for patients'
needs. For example, a kid who plays basketball will need something different from
someone who works on a computer all day.
- Educating first-timers on how to use and take care of their glasses and/or
contact lenses
- Troubleshooting prescription issues and miscellaneous repairs, taking accurate
measurements for all lens styles and prescriptions, checking new glasses for fit
and making adjustments
- Occasionally welcome patients and pull medical records.
- Accurately chart insurance and patient information explaining to patients what
their insurance or savings plan cover.
- Keeping the optical space looking clean and decorated for the season to make it
neat and welcoming, doing inventory, ordering, sending and receiving shipments.

- Strong oral communication skills are a MUST, while being able to maintain a
caring and professional demeanor.
- You can get along great with anybody, are full of energy and people feel
charged up just being around you.
- You are attentive, organized, and your work reflects all of these characteristics.
- You're known for doing what you say you're going to do –Your reputation for
honesty and integrity is legendary.
- You don't know the meaning of "someone else's problem" or "that's not my
job." You're always willing to jump in and help.
