CT Technologist – Cardiology (Imaging) Cardiac Study Center/ Pulse Heart Institute, Tacoma, WA Since its creation, Cardiac Study Center (CSC) has contracted with Pulse Heart Institute (Pulse) for outpatient cardiology and billing services. CSC is a proud partner of Pulse and has provided outpatient cardiology services in the Puget Sound Region for over 50 years. CSC partnered with MultiCare Health System to create Pulse Heart Institute in 2016 to work toward improving the health of cardiac patients.
Pulse's standard operating procedure is to employ cardiology ambulatory and billing support staff at Cardiac Study Center. This gives Pulse the dexterity to create roles that are unique to cardiac programs, which benefit our teams in their career development and resource needs in caring for our patients. This structure allows for a more personal feel for our employees, helping them feel valued.

CT Technologist Environment and Shift details : This role is full-time, 40 hours/ week, Monday – Friday—closed weekends and holidays. 8:00 am-4:30pm (flexible start/end times)

CT Technologist Position Summary Join our dynamic team as a CT Technologist at our advanced imaging facility. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of general and specialized CT procedures, ensuring optimal diagnostic quality and adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards. Your daily activities will include preparing and setting up the imaging room, conducting patient assessments, and effectively communicating with patients to explain procedures and address concerns. You will critique images for diagnostic quality, maintain equipment, and manage data using various medical software systems. The position also involves direct patient care, such as safely transferring patients and maintaining IV access when necessary. Additionally, you'll contribute to our team's efficiency by supporting workflow management and quality assurance testing. Flexibility to rotate within regional clinics is required to ensure comprehensive coverage. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the operational goals of our imaging department.
CT Technologist Responsibilities Direct Patient Care •The CT Technologist is competent in performing all general and advanced level imaging procedures and provides support for other Technologists as needed. Participating in imaging studies comprises the majority of the incumbent's daily activities.
Analysis and Communication •Checks the order for complete information, proper exam and/or procedure and schedules as needed.
•Obtains sufficient information to determine the priority of exam or procedure. • Determines if additional technical support is required and follows the proper procedure for obtaining support.
•Adheres to established section and organizational protocols, QA guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Interacts appropriately with patients and all care providers.
Imaging Procedures •Sets up the imaging room to coincide with the examination being performed to include the use of proper isolation precautions when needed.
•Explains all studies to patients prior to the exam in a caring manner, provides resources to patients and family members about the CT exam and refers them, if appropriate, to the physician or clinic personnel
•Safely transfers patient to and from carts, beds and wheelchairs.
•Positions the patient, ensuring patient comfort and modesty.
•Selects proper imaging devices, and sets the machine to obtain optimal images.
•Accurately critiques images to determine if they are of diagnostic quality and adjusts factors if an image needs to be repeated.
•Starting and maintaining intravenous (IV) access as needed
•Ability and willingness to rotate within regional clinics for proper coverage.
Responsibilities Supporting Patient Care
•Performs patient assessment and screening within the scope of practice.
•Bills procedures and associated supplies.
•Meets the daily goals of the work group by prioritizing workflow.
CT Technologist Required Qualifications: Experience and Skills:
•Previous healthcare and related experience (required)
•Two (2) years of clinical experience (preferred NOT required)
Education: •Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology
•Bachelor's degree in relevant field (preferred NOT required)
•Certification by appropriate body (AART or NMTCB) and valid WA State Radiological License

Pay and Benefit Expectations Cardiac Study Center/ Pulse Heart Institute provides a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. As various pay transparency laws require, CSC/ PHI shares a competitive compensation range for candidates hired into each position.
The starting pay for this position is $37.96 , and the pay scale is $37.96 - $60.08 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
