Cost Accountant

Cost Accountant We are looking for a diligent accounting professional to join our accounting department. This position will be responsible for production and retail inventory accounting functions.
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the timely identification and resolution of inventory discrepancies. This role will assist the Cost Accountant with
accounting and reconciliation of inventory, as well as perform physical inventories.
Qualifications needed: Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required 3 years experience as an Inventory or Cost Accountant Understanding of GAAP in relation to inventory Retail accounting experience required Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications and E RP system experience (QuickBooks preferred) Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required Willingness to work, learn, and appreciate the complexities of the cannabis industry Responsibilities include: Analyze weekly ingredient usage variances on manufacturing orders and post
required adjustments Developing inventory analysis reports and analyzing variance Assisting in the improvement in internal controls related to inventory Verifying accurate standard costs Monitoring inventory transactions Reconciling inventory accounts to the general ledger Preparing monthly journal entries as needed Review and resolve issues with inventory transfer orders between locations Review production order reports and record corrections, as necessary Provide inventory support and guidance to production facility as needed Process daily cash receipts and post payments to customer accounts Match purchase orders for raw materials receipts and resolve discrepancies Ensure procedures are documented and updated regularly Assist in collection and preparation of documentation requested for the
