Details of the Corrections RN opening: Anticipated start date: 06/17/2024 Salary: $1692.22 - $1954.32 weekly Anticipated duration of assignment: 91 weeks Anticipated schedule: 3x12 Nights Enjoy peace of mind knowing you can elect Day One Medical Benefits Daily Range of Responsibilities of the Corrections RN: Collaborates with primary care providers and other health care providers to ensure continuity, timeliness and appropriateness of care to inmate patients. Coordinates and/or administers medication, therapeutic agents, treatments, to inmate patients. Assists physicians with medical treatments. Administers prescribed medication. Applies surgical dressings & bandages. Provides emergency first aid care. Checks & records vital signs. Obtains specimens from inmate patients for diagnostic testing. Reports reactions to treatments and medications, as well as changes in the inmates' emotional or physical condition. Provides inmate patient education and/or discharge planning. Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms. Promotes a therapeutic environment to ensure inmates are treated in a professional, ethical and tactful manner. Qualifications for the Corrections RN: Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse with active license(s) in the state(s) in which employed and practices. One or more year(s) of Corrections experience. Advanced knowledge of EMRs. Current BLS/BCLS and/or ACLS certifications.
