Role Overview
We are on the lookout for a Carbon Operations Analyst to join our team. This pivotal role involves guiding landowners through our enrollment process, ensuring they receive top-notch support every step of the way. Reporting to the Director of Landowner Relations, you'll play a key role in expanding our portfolio of forest offset projects.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the onboarding process for users on our CORE Carbon online platform, which includes account setup, project definition, and program enrollment.
- Perform detailed site analysis and eligibility reviews using legal documentation, remote forest inventories, and other spatial data.
- Develop a deep understanding of program rules and methodologies and provide strategic recommendations.
- Handle user support inquiries related to platform navigation, site setup, and overall information flow.
- Collaborate with landowners and foresters to clarify queries, address concerns, and make necessary adjustments prior to site approval.
- Create and update internal technical documentation and user assistance tools such as presentations, webinars, help content, and video tutorials.
- Produce and deliver high-quality documentation, written reports, maps, and necessary data and materials for contractual purposes.
What You'll Bring
- A Bachelor's degree in forestry, natural resource management, or a related field. Candidates with other degrees may be considered given 3-5 years of relevant experience in forest carbon, forest operations, or conservation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive conversations and represent our company professionally.
- A proactive, patient, and motivated attitude with the ability to learn independently.
- Effective time management and task prioritization skills.
- Proficiency in geospatial tools (ESRI's ArcPro or QGIS), Microsoft Office suite, project management tools, and CRM software.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience in customer support for technology platforms.
- Familiarity with real estate deeds or similar legal documents.
- Knowledge of Google Earth Engine.
- Understanding of forest carbon offset protocols.
- SAF accreditation and/or ACF membership.
