Coordinator Of Religious Education

The parish community of Saint John Neumann in Mount Laurel, NJ is seeking a part-time Coordinator of Religious Education. The Religious Education program provides faith formation and sacramental preparation to about 200 students and their families. The qualified candidate will manage, organize, and implement the religious education program under the direction of the Pastor. The coordinator will work with catechists and volunteers to engage, teach, and form young Catholics and their families, as well as coordinate the sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation. This individual will be responsible to recruit, provide training and spiritual formation of catechists and volunteers engaged in the program.Job Qualifications:A minimum of a bachelor's degree in theology or a related field is required, however background and experience will be taken into consideration for a qualified candidate with a bachelor's degree with an unrelated major. Proven leadership skills as well as effective oral and written communication skills are necessary for success. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic communication, and strong organization and planning abilities are a must. This position will include occasional evenings and weekends.
