Description
TTITLE:  Coordinator, Accountability & Assessment
QUALIFICATIONS:
A valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate (Type A or Level 3)
Completes a general course in supervision designed to aid prospective supervisors or principals who have responsibility for assisting teachers in the improvement of instruction at both the elementary and secondary levels, giving special attention to the study of general principles, specific techniques, and procedures employed by successful supervisors (excludes certification in supervision of student teaching )
REPORTS TO:  Supervisor of Accountability & Assessment
OVERVIEW OF POSITION:  To provide support with the administration of state assessments, school improvement efforts, and data collection and analysis as it pertains to assessment and accountability measures.
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
Provides support with the responsibilities and tasks assigned to the District Test Coordinator (DTC) as defined in Bulletin 118.
Assists in collecting, analyzing, and presenting state and district assessment data.
Provides support with test administration and security training.
Provides support with the collection of documentation as it relates to assessment and accountability.
Provides support with the management of assessment systems and databases.
Provides support with school improvement planning and efforts.
Assist schools with interpretation of accountability data as it relates to school improvement plans, accountability, and student achievement.
Attends assigned meetings, conferences, and workshops relevant to assessment, accountability, and school improvement.
Assists in obtaining and disseminating information provided by LDOE and BESE related to school and district accountability (School and District Performance Scores, Assessment Index, Progress Index, Graduation Cohort Rate, Strength of Diploma index, ACT index, Interests & Opportunities index, school improvement labels, subgroup performance, proficiency rates, etc.).
Meets the criteria for a Professional Growth Plan as set forth by the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) in Bulletin 130 – Regulations for the Evaluation and Assessment of School Personnel and the Bossier Parish Program of Professional Personnel Evaluation.
Assumes additional responsibilities as the Supervisor of Accountability and Assessment may assign.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Ten and one-half (10 1/2)
SALARY RANGE:   See adopted Bossier Parish Salary Schedule
EVALUATION:  Performance in this position will be evaluated annually.
