Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Controls Technician will include:
Compensation (Range): 38-43/ hour: Salary: This position will lead new controls/plant automation projects, champion Best Methods teams and standardization processes. It will also provide support to all areas (Engineering - advanced, program, or development, Manufacturing, Commercial, Quality, etc.) where controls engineering expertise is required, including launch support and customer initiatives. Contribute to and/or lead Advanced Engineering projects to develop new and/or improved processes and innovations to provide value. Support Operations by troubleshooting, maintaining, and programming Plant Automation. Fulfill EMSEC Technician role by championing and supporting Machine Safety Standard policies and procedures Complete TMSS machine risk assessments per the TMSS guidelines and templates. Create software requirements documentation, contribute to software peer reviews, conduct software unit testing and participate in software validation requirements definition. Attend training sessions, seminars, and conferences to expand job knowledge and skills and network with professional colleagues, suppliers, and customers. Responsible for programming and designing PLC controls for new equipment. Project Management on new automation projects. Perform and lead new product analysis and predictive tools and evaluation techniques. Develop and maintain requirements books and best practices library, yielding work instructions, design guidelines, process flows, and standardization techniques. Data collection from Plant Automation Ability to travel in support of job functions. Overtime as required/requested. This list may not be all-inclusive and may include other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Job Requirements Experience with Allen Bradley Logic PLC controls platforms a necessity. Experience working with Motoman Robot software and programming. Experience with controls hardware design a necessity. Experience working in the automotive industry is beneficial. HMI programming understanding of basic concepts, familiar with PanelView Plus and PanelView hardware. Ability to use RSView Studio and PanelBuilder software DeviceNet and Allen Bradley Remote IO experience. Ethernet networking experience Understanding of vision systems. Ability to design, diagnose and troubleshoot vision applications. Self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills. Four-year undergraduate degree. BS in Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred or equivalent work experience 3-5 years' experience designing and programming industrial control systems Strong electrical/mechanical/programming troubleshooting skills Wet, slippery floors in some areas Make the most of your experience!
