Responsibilities
• Performs construction work according to priorities and plans.• Operates various types of construction equipment.• Maintains safe work environment through continual observance of procedures and safety awareness.• Maintenance of city vehicles, equipment and facilities by way of preventive maintenance, repairs and service.• Performs basic traffic control on an as-needed basis; repairs streets and sidewalks, notifies customers of service interruptions.• Assists in the preparation of reports concerning work progress and other reports as assigned by the supervisor.• Subject to call back per City policy.• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• High school graduate or GED• Possession of Valid Class A Driver's License issued by the State of Oklahoma• Two years minimum experience in utility construction, maintenance, or related work area

• Knowledge of personnel laws, policies, and regulations• Knowledge of relevant city, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies• Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures• Knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, and procedures used in construction.• Skill in the operation of heavy and light equipment• Skill in the supervision and managing of personnel.• Skill in oral and written communication• Ability to read and interpret plans and designs.
