Responsibilities
• Conducting field measurements• Collecting necessary data for daily progress reports• Performing quantity calculations to generate progress payment estimates• Assist in inspection progress of basic construction operations• Collection of field data using survey techniques and GPS• Recognize unsafe construction procedures and site conditions• Inspect erosion control and protection of environmental features• Assist in inspection of basic work zone traffic control set ups• Coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as required• Ensure projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements
Requirements
• Punctuality and excellent organizational skills• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Basic computer skills• Ability to understand and follow instructions• Ability to lift and move average weights• Ability to stand/walk on uneven terrain• Ability to work on elevated surfaces/platforms• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle• Enrolled in a college Engineering program• No experience required• Minimum GPA 3.0• Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment
Key Skills Needed
• MicroStation or AutoCAD skills desired but not required
