Job Title Conference Services Manager
Job Summary A conference services manager's main responsibilities include serving as a liaison between multiple groups, managing client relationships, coordinating events utilizing property/event management software, and overseeing the flow of information. They work with clients to plan events, coordinate with different departments, and ensure successful and memorable events. They also communicate client expectations to internal staff, manage internal requests, and monitor food and beverage minimums. They must have strong project management skills and be able to develop relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
Essential Functions Serving as a liaison between different groups and departments, managing client relationships and events, coordinating internal flow of information, and working with clients in menu planning and meeting room setup. They manage and coordinate all conferences, meetings, group functions, and group activities booked through the sales department, and implement programs to generate additional bottom-line revenue. Coordinate with culinary and operations departments regarding logistics and preparation for events, arrange for banquets, and communicate client expectations to internal staff. Develop relationships resulting in return group business, and manage and monitor food and beverage minimums. Create all event-related information in the Resort's database management system (Amadeus Delphi) and group resume formats, as well as diagrams, etc. Attend weekly team meetings to review group resumes and BEOs with key hotel staff. Oversee the conference center operations for proper set-up and tear-down of meeting and event space. Drive revenue growth by selling food & beverage enhancements, audiovisual equipment, and other revenue opportunities, following the guidance of the Director of Catering & Conference Services. Work schedule is Monday to Friday during daytime hours, with frequent evenings and weekends during the peak season. Must be on-site to support clients during major setup days and outdoor venue events and be on call to answer clients questions while on property. Job Requirements  Associates or Bachelor Degree preferred  Minimum of two years of hotel food & beverage and event service experience Good Verbal, Listening and Written Communication, Time Management skills are important Must be goal oriented with the ability to meet deadlines Must be able to work individually and in a team environment Aptitude with technology required Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Amadeus, Opera preferred COMPENSATION & BENEFITS OPPORTUNITIES Compensation:  DOE +Incentives
