Full job description ATTENTION: The Office of the Chancellor at The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater invites applicants for the position of Compliance Coordinator (Compliance Specialist II (CP019).
JOB DETAILS: The Compliance Coordinator reports to the Chief of Staff and Senior Strategy and Compliance Officer of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. This Academic Staff position provides assistance and support for the campus compliance responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience Demonstrated success in project planning and management. Experience working with policy and compliance related programs and/or in a compliance-related field Ability to interpret laws, legal codes and regulatory policies Demonstrated ability to foster a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace environment Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience documenting and reporting with attention to details Strong organizational skills Commitment to customer service Ability to interact respectfully with people with diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds Willingness and ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations including necessary training and drills RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Chief of Staff and Senior Strategy and Compliance Officer, assist with policy and procedure research, creation, reviews, and updates On behalf of the Chief of Staff and Senior Strategy and Compliance Officer, coordinate the scheduling of regular meetings for campus risk, compliance and safety personnel Coordinate and track responses to audit requests from internal audit engagements, providing assistance to departments for management comment follow up Under the direction of the Chief of Staff and Senior Strategy and Compliance Officer, coordinate the scheduling of the Audit, Risk, Compliance and Ethics committee meeting Compile and disseminate information for quarterly Audit, Risk, Compliance and Ethics reporting Under direction of the Chief of Staff and Senior Strategy and Compliance Officer, provide assistance for campus participation in the Risk, Compliance and Audit program (RCA) administered by the UWSA Office of Compliance and Risk Management In coordination with the UWSA Office of Compliance and Risk Management, maintain UW-Whitewater campus data in UWSA compliance matrix database Update the UW-Whitewater policy web page ensuring policies are reviewed regularly and current polices are published Disseminate required annual communications as requested Serve as the University's record custodian, responding to public record requests in a timely manner with appropriate details Provide follow up assistance for annual conflict of interest reporting administered by UWSA office Provide assistance and support to Title IX Coordinator including scheduling and coordination of cases, providing information and resources to parties involved, and maintaining Title IX case management system Attend UWSA compliance and risk management meetings with and/or on behalf of the compliance officer Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chief of Staff and Senior Strategy and Compliance Officer CAMPUS INFORMATION: UW-Whitewater is a thriving public university located in southeastern Wisconsin. When obtaining employment reference checks, these same sexual violence or sexual harassment questions must also be asked.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Well-qualified candidates can expect a starting annual salary within a range of $58,000 - $62,000.
