Job Purpose The Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC) is seeking an experienced leader with a passion for innovation to oversee community outreach programs. The ideal candidate has experience leading as well as a demonstrated ability to oversee the successful planning, delivery, and evaluation of a portfolio of diverse community programming. The position requires a dynamic professional who can help build and develop model programs and identify and coordinate new potential funding models while growing and aligning existing prevention programs with organization's strategic direction and vision. The Community Program Director will serve as an internal and external point of contact for key stakeholders and will collaborate cross-functionally internally and with external partners for activation of critical initiatives with strategic assets, community partners, and engagement programs. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer. 
Responsibilities Experienced in setting the strategy, objectives and goals for strategic initiatives, enterprise-wide teammate programming, and experiential events.  Creates and executes implementation plans for strategic community programs and event activities, including tracking status and holding the team accountable to deadlines and key deliverables including managing timelines, and offering regular status updates through completion of the planned program. Lead and monitor the development and implementation of new and existing programs.  Collaborates with internal and external partners on the development and implementation of external community partnership engagement initiatives focusing on building relationships and community engagement. Externally builds and maintains relationships with non-profit partners, customers, vendors, and teammate volunteers.  Work with community programs committee and development team to devise and implement strategies, including revenue-generating and fundraising, for support of outreach programs.  Attend and participate actively in required meetings.  Carry out administrative (tracking and collecting data, reports, program evaluation) functions.  Ensure systems for maintaining program records, funder proposals and report writing.  Recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the program goals.  Participate in program budget creation and monitoring of program expenses. Instill a sense of accountability by ensuring performance standards established for team members and contractors are met.  Attract, develop, coach, and retain high-performance volunteers--empowering them to elevate their level of responsibility, span of control, and performance.  Ensure that key project outcomes and/or efforts are designed, evaluated, and leveraged for maximum community and organizational impact. Measures and evaluates the success of programs and incorporates feedback into future planning. Supports the development and review of future programming and project plans. Work collaboratively with the senior management team to integrate cross program activities and functions.  Other duties as assigned. Skills/Qualifications BA, BS or other 4-year college degree, or equivalent work experience. At least 5 years of professional experience. Experienced in leading staff ad projects focused on diversity, equity, access and inclusion. Familiarity with best practices in health promotion. Demonstrated success in development of model programs. Strong project planning and budget management experience. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to build relationships with various strategic asset partners, community partners, customers, public officials, business executives, non-profit organizations, and teammate volunteers. Must be able to effectively work and communicate with people of all levels and represent the ABC professionally to a diverse constituency. A strong commitment to values and mission of the organization. Able to travel as needed. Desired Competencies :
