APPOINTMENT TYPE: Full-Time Regular (FTR) LOCATION: Oak Ridge, TN (Hybrid) SALARY RANGE: $59,488 to $82,770 PURPOSE: Provide moderately complex communications and marketing products and services, specifically in the areas of public and employee communications, public and media relations, marketing communications and advertising, corporate identity and brand management, Web, video, and online content development, social media engagement, and events.
Implements moderately complex interactive marketing, communications, and video projects to support marketing and business development opportunities. Plans, creates, and disseminates information using appropriate social media and social advertising to drive business strategy for services, products, and campaigns. Develops communications and marketing materials by writing and editing press releases, media materials, speeches, scripts, articles, web features and business presentations and reports. Organizes company-sponsored events, webinars, exhibits and other symposia. Organizes and contributes to employee communications initiatives, channels, and campaigns. Other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, English, Business, scientific, technical, education or related field and 3-5 years of job-related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience performing duties as described may be substituted for the minimum requirements.
Must have demonstrated experience in marketing and communications best practices and modern techniques. Must have experience with effective writing, editing, and content development for a wide range of channels from web to video, to social to print. Must have demonstrated experience in delivering effective campaigns, whether digital marketing, advertising, and/or social media. Experience managing projects, events, and videos is highly desired. Individuals who are trustworthy, productive, and efficient, deadline conscious, and who possess a positive attitude, natural affinity for teamwork, and strong work ethic are highly desired. Critical thinking skills, as well as creativity and problem-solving, are highly valued. Experience in marketing to the government or experience working in a marketing or advertising agency a plus. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desired. *The candidate's starting salary will be determined upon hire and ORAU will use salary survey data, internal comparators, and the candidate's qualifications to determine salary.
