JOB SUMMARY: Serves as a Clinical Lab Manager, a licensed SC Registered Nurse. Manages the day-to-day activities of the Clinical Learning Research Center (CLRC) at the Center for Nursing, Health Innovation, and Research. Trains and assists faculty with simulation activities; serves as a member of the inter-professional team. This state-of-the-art facility, in which students and faculty engages in the teaching-learning processes and conducts research in a simulated healthcare environment is located Edwards Hall, Clemson SC. Performs other duties as assigned.JOB DUTIES: 30% - Essential - Lab Management:
Manages the day-to-day activities in the CLRC; coordinates the supervision, and implementation of the setup, break down and returning to storage all equipment/supplies used for each lab activity for Undergraduate and Graduate Students. Manages and oversees the work of the GTA(s) and clinical faculty working in lab. Directs corrective action for staff working in the lab; ensures that proper processes and procedures are followed. Provides guidance and recommendations for hiring and termination.
20% - Essential - Training and Development:
Manages training and professional development for GTA's and clinical faculty teaching in the lab. Assists faculty with simulation activity by operation of Human Patient Simulator, audiovisual equipment, video streaming/recording, and use of other technology as needed. Facilitates use of simulation training format for all services by establishing collaboration, partnerships, and other services. Assists in the development of simulation applications for training in clinical and non-clinical areas. Collaborates with other faculty/staff for orientation, and continuing support to lab faculty. Participates in and facilitates inter-professional activities with internal and external partners to support Greenville Health System collaborative activities as directed by the Director, Clinical Learning Research Center.
20% - Essential - Equipment Management:
Manages, maintains, and oversees the ordering and maintaining of all simulation training equipment and supplies. Provides information for the budget preparation and allocates funds for maintaining inventory for lab equipment and supplies.
15% - Essential - Inter-Professional Team:
Serves as a member of the inter-professional team developing simulation activities for internal and external partners. Manages, monitors, and maintains the use of the Human Patient Simulators, and related Simulation-Based Education including the specialty areas.
15% - Essential - Data Activities:
Collects, collates, and evaluates data for all activities conducted in the Simulation Laboratory including student and faculty performance in the lab, their use of the lab, inter-professional activities, and the impact on programs. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and related nursing experience.

Licenses: Nurse - RN Registered
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Education: Master's Degree in Nursing

COMPENSATION INFORMATION Expected Salary Range: ($ 54,974.00 - $ 72,365.00)


Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines .
