Position Summary This faculty position in the Department of Health Sciences, Division of Radiologic Science, will primarily serve as the Clinical Coordinator for the BS Radiologic Science Program and the Certificate of Radiography Program. The position will be at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor on the fixed term track. The individual will be responsible for clinical rotations and scheduling, compliance, competence assesment, records, accreditation and outcomes data, clinical instructor development and one didactic course every other year. The key to the role will be developing strong relationships with clinical sites and creating an educational experience that transforms the students into a healthcare professional.
The Division of Radiologic Science is a dynamic cohesive faculty unit that works together to provide an encouraging and supportive workplace environment while pushing forward with program and division projects to stay current and future focused on the needs and demands on medical imaging professions and professional education. The Division is part of the Department of Health Sciences, which offers colleagues in teaching and research across from multiple healthcare provider disciplines.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements - Masters Degree from an accredited institution. Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - in Radiography - Two years minimum clinical practice experience; documented teaching experience in the classroom and/or clinical settings in an accredited program. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience - Doctoral Degree from an accredited institution. Previous experience as a Clinical Instructor and/or Clinical Coordinator - Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Additional areas of preferred certification include CT, MRI , VIR , Mammography and Cardiac Imaging.
