Job Description:Summary:The person in this position will work with project teams on civil engineering and related technical assignments. This position generally aligns with the renewable energy sector and power delivery, with the option of branching into other sectors as needed. Work will include performing and leading tasks related to civil design; assisting engineers and clients with the evaluation of renewable energy and storage options; developing wind, solar, and energy storage projects; preparing construction documents, site evaluations, feasibility studies, and technical reports; and completing other tasks.Administrative responsibilities such as business development, project management, project planning and scheduling, and workload estimating are also a part of this strategic role. This person will have the opportunity to serve as a mentor to junior and mid-level engineers, helping them develop their technical and project management skills by reviewing technical reports, providing guidance on analyses, and overseeing their financial and client management on projects. A hybrid work arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a Barr office and a home office. This position is based out of Barr's Duluth, Minnesota, office.NOTE: Some work locations may feature rough terrain typical of mining sites and may also require entering and working in facilities that include limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities. Safety training will be provided.
