Child Care Worker Part-Time

JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Child Care Worker - Part-Time DEPARTMENT : Recreation Center
CLASSIFICATION : Non-Exempt CATEGORY: Non-Essential
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Provide direct supervision for the children of MRCC members in the drop-in childcare area Greet parents and children Maintain cleanliness of the drop-in childcare area Answer phones, manage appointments and check-ins Report all injuries/accidents to the Supervisor that occur during the shift Ability to spend time on feet Demonstrate critical thinking skills and resourcefulness Mediating conflicts between children and reporting issues to parents Being able to multi-task during high-traffic operating hours Interact and play with children Communicate effectively with staff, members, and guests Ability to work days, evenings and weekends Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS : High School Diploma or GED Preference in Early Childhood Education One to three years of general work experience Experience working with children Dynamic and high energy active professional Red Cross Babysitting Certificate preferred Certificate in mandatory reporter, first aid and CPR/AED or willing to obtain within the first month of employment. SUPERVISION : - S upervised by the Office Manager
SALARY LEVEL : - Hourly Wage: $16.00 per hour
