SUMMARY OF JOB :
The chief technology officer (CTO) develops and executes a robust IT strategy that aligns with InBank's business objectives while playing a crucial role in driving technological innovation, shaping the digital roadmap and ensuring the successful implementation of technology initiatives within a company.
Oversee the technical aspects of the organization, including systems architecture, software development, network infrastructure and data security. The CTO will diligently develop and maintain the IT budget, ensuring that the IT infrastructure meets the company's evolving needs.
The CTO is a strategic leader and provides direction to the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and digital transformation. Also, evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to leverage these advancements to enhance operational efficiency and gain a competitive edge.
** Position is based out of Denver, CO.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITES :
The Chief Technology Officer will be responsible for the following key areas:
1. Technology Strategy and Vision:
• Develop and drive the technology vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with the bank's business objectives.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with organizational goals.
2. Systems Vendor Management and Partnerships:
• Establish and maintain relationships with technology vendors, ensuring alignment with the bank's strategic goals and adherence to service level agreements.
• Manage the Bank's core provider (currently FIS) and technology partners to optimize performance and adherence to service level accountability.
• Implement new/updated products, test new releases, IT contract management, service level adherence, maximize utilization, improve efficiencies, etc.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with external technology partners.
• IT and Bank application vendor management
3. Information Technology and Infrastructure:
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the bank's IT infrastructure, ensuring security, scalability, and reliability.
• Manage the Bank's managed outsourced IT provider to optimize performance and adherence to service level accountability.
• Lead initiatives to optimize system performance, security, reliability and efficiency.
4. Digital Channels and Banking Systems:
• Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance customer experience, streamline operations, and foster innovation.
• Identify emerging technologies and assess their potential for integration into the bank's operations.
• Manage digital banking channel from an applications and systems perspective. Systems include online and mobile banking, commercial treasury, bill bay, P2P, ACH and wire processing.
• Support Commercial, Retail, Deposit Ops, Loan Ops, and Finance on technology solutions.
5. IT Governance Risk, Cybersecurity and Compliance:
• Serve as the Chair of the Bank's IT Steering Committee (ITSC)
• IT policy management, oversee IT strategic plan, manage IT audit and regulatory findings, and oversee business continuity planning and testing.
• Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect the bank's digital assets, customer data, and privacy.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to technology and data management.
• Participates in Disaster Recovery Team planning, implementation when appropriate, and ongoing processes.
6. Project Management, System Conversions and Implementation:
• Primary technology leader for data conversions, M&A system integrations, implementations, and divestitures.
• Responsible for managing and overseeing Bank projects including but not limited to conversion of deposit and loan data between core Bank applications, process consolidation, new system installations, system upgrades, and new product implementations.
• Evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of all new system applications, manage acquisition/conversions, data clean-up project management.
7. Data Management and Analytics:
• Develop and implement strategies for effective data governance, analytics, and business intelligence.
• Utilize data insights to drive decision-making, enhance customer insights, and improve operational efficiency.
8. Team Leadership and Development:
• Build and lead a high-performing technology team (including third party partners), fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and develop team members, encouraging professional growth and skill enhancement.
9. Budgeting and Financial Management:
• Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
• Monitor financial performance and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.

Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:

Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems/Technology, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
Work Experience:

10+ years' work experience as a CTO/CIO or in a senior technology leadership role within the banking or financial industry.
Other Requirements:

Strong knowledge of banking operations, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
In-depth knowledge of FIS applications including security, bank control records, end-user functions, integration with other applications, and report writing. Demonstrated success in driving digital transformation and leveraging emerging technologies.
Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, and organizational skills. Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures, and project management principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
The applicant who is selected for this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
Targeted hiring range based on experience: $150,000 - $200,000. This range is an estimate based on potential employee qualifications and other considerations permitted by law under the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules.
Bonus Eligibility: Annual bonus based on Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company Discretion.
