Position Description:Are you a Safety and Health (S&H) professional looking to have a career with a collaborative, diverse, and dynamic mining company? We have an opportunity for you!Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Safety and Health Trainer at our Carlin operation. The Trainer will develop and implement training programs for competency and site compliance to ensure that employees have the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitude to perform their assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound manner.Responsibilities:Create and maintain accurate training records in accordance with MSHA regulationsConduct assessments in collaboration with the operating departmentsManage the development and administration of training programsProvide support and direction regarding the identification and assessment of continuous improvement opportunities within the training areaAbility to create training courses based on site needsDevelop teaching outlines and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, meetings, and workshopsExcellent and demonstrated personal commitment to safety & healthSelects or develops testing and evaluation procedures to be used prior to and at completion of trainingAudit and review all training courses for continuous improvementEvaluate all training facilitatorsReview SOPs with division managementBuild and develop a competency-based training programs that ensure information is delivered in a manner that employees can retainDevelop 30, 60, 90 competency review processAuditing training programs and materialsDocument control and managementSOP revisions for sitePlan, manage, and schedule Annual Refresher Training for all employeesConduct site hazard trainingConduct new hire trainingAssist with evaluation and re-design of training systemAssist with new training systems roll outsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Five (5) years of training experience in heavy industry experience requiredProven experience in working with peer groups and focus teams requiredAbility to drive results and ensure completion of time sensitive deadlines requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills requiredExcellent leadership skills and knowledge of influencing others requiredAbility to promote safety in training and lead by example requiredCompetent computer skills including Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook preferredProven safe work record requiredWhat We Can Offer YouA comprehensive compensation package including bonuses benefits, and stock purchase plans where applicableAbility to make a difference and lasting impactWork in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing teamAn Opportunity to transform Traditional Mining into the future of Digital MiningOpportunities to grow and learn with the industry colleagues are endlessAccess to a variety of career opportunities across Nevada Gold Mine locationsNevada Gold Mines is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer#LI-RM1Job Identification229560Posting Date2024-04-25Job ScheduleFull timeJob CategorySafety & HealthLocationsCarlin, NV, United States
