We offer a generous benefits package which includes a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more!Responsibilities:The position is primarily responsible for improving HSE&A program delivery and working with site management teams to align people with the strategic goals of the organization.The primary responsibilities are to establish a forward looking, industry leading approach to HS&T as follows:Responsible for all aspects of safety, health, and training including supervision, quality control, and technical support. Responsible for the direct supervision of occupational health and safety to include divisional safety personnel, workers compensation, industrial hygiene, and emergency response training. Directly responsible for executing site-wide standardized training program, including SOP and database implementation. A substantial effort must also be made to assist in Corporate initiatives and mandates. Manage site safety, occupational health, and training activities including initiation and enhancement of programs, standards, site directives, and operational procedures. Conduct regular safety performance reviews and assessments to ensure that facility standards and operational areas are in compliance with governmental regulations and corporate policy. Plan, coordinate, and monitor safety trends and studies to discover and determine hazards/risks and controls that may affect workers. Direct and contribute to the review and development of remedial measures that control or eliminate safety and health hazards. Initiate programs to promote the inclusion of new information and technology into the safety activities of the company. Communicate effectively with operations and all levels of management to support and participate in the development of effective safety, occupational health, and training programs at the site. Oversee safety summary reporting, performance measurements, and results to corporate, governmental, and public agencies when required. Actively represent the company's interests regarding safety, occupational health, and training developments. Develop annual and long-range safety, health, and training goals, objectives, action plans, and the supporting budget. Ensure compliance to all company, state and federal safety and health standards and policies. Provide service within the organization and implement all training programs. The programs would include, but are not limited to, quality control, work measurement, manufacturing methods, critical tasks, and supervisory development. Consult with senior management to develop and confirm program/system objectives, operational procedures, and system/program constraints, Support Corporate goals related to Barrick and Nevada Gold Mines' Safety System.
