Employees located within 50 miles of a BHN office will be considered a "Hybrid" employee and are required to come into the office 2 days per week based on office schedule.
We are seeking a highly successful, passionate and results-oriented Business Development Sales Professional to drive additional market adoption of Blackhawk's full suite of product and solutions to prospective distribution, digital distribution, and card partners. Description: The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing new client relationships with selling to sales, marketing and merchandising decision makers within prospective physical distribution, digital distribution, and card partners across multiple industries including but not limited to consumer products companies, grocery, retail, entertainment, restaurant, home improvement, and telecom. Our Sales teams collaborate closely with Business Development, Marketing, and Merchandising teams to drive new development and close deals.
Manage the full sales cycle from market research, prospecting, lead qualification, lead nurturing, to deal closure via a consultative selling process Actively engage merchandising, sales and marketing in-store execution decision makers at retail and other merchant prospects primarily in the gift card and consumer products, and other verticals to introduce Blackhawk Network products and solutions Expand market presence and revenue in assigned territory by adding new clients to the Blackhawk Network client list Representing Blackhawk Network at regional or national industry events, i.e. Shop!, NRF, etc. Act as trusted adviser and escalation point for customer issues raised, collaborate with internal teams to drive prompt issue resolution Analyze client performance and industry data to provide valuable insights to your customers BA/BS Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business or other relevant degree program; or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree Minimum 2-4 years of relevant sales experience, ideally selling to sales, marketing and merchandising teams at retailers and consumer product companies Proven results in terms of closing first line business Strong existing network in the retail merchandising vertical and experience selling to high level contacts Industry experience in retail, in-store execution, consumer product sales, marketing or operations is highly desired Proven track record of exceeding quarterly and annual goals Bilingual – Fluent in English and Spanish Ability to travel 30% Key Skills/Knowledge: Full cycle sales skills including prospecting, presenting, negotiating, closing, and account maintenance High impact communication skills - focuses communications to have a positive effect on others; uses compelling language and tone to stimulate others' thinking and actions Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective, open, and trusting relationships with customers and internal partners Builds influential partnerships by leveraging relationships with internal and external partners to persuade key stakeholders to take action that will address customers' needs and advance sales A self-starter with high energy and a "sense of urgency;" thrives in a fun, fast-paced environment Drives successful customer engagements by building commitment and enthusiasm for customers and internal partners to work together to implement win-win solutions that meet BHN's and customer's needs; removes obstacles to successful partnerships Sustaining customer satisfaction throughout the sales life cycle Proficiency in utilizing a CRM system (i.e. MS Dynamics, Sales, Force) for pipeline management and forecasting Strong organizational and prioritization skills Cross-functional team experience to drive sales process and results Proficiency in Microsoft Office (US Sales Remote: - Remove before posting) OTE for all U.S. Residents (excluding Alaska, California, North Dakota, South Dakota): Up to $290,000.00
