Business Solutions Architect, Finance and Accounting (Remote) At Axon, we're on a mission to Protect Life. What You'll Do Location: Remote
Reports to: VP, Enterprise Apps
You will design effective business process solutions that support growth, improved customer experience and strong internal controls. You will collaborate with senior finance and accounting leaders to understand business needs, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. You will understand user needs to ensure solutions deliver positive outcomes. You will partner to solve business problems by eliciting and translating business requirements into technological and process improvement solutions. You will develop and communicate the vision and roadmap for improvements related to Finance and Accounting, determining what functionality is prioritized and implemented. You will oversee the selection, customization, and implementation of financial systems. You will define program increments, accounting for new features, integrations, architecture improvements and allocations for technical debt. You will negotiate and communicate with various stakeholders to ensure organizational alignment on architecture, solutions and approach. You will drive the adoption of best practices in financial data management, reporting, and analytics. You will ensure effective organizational change management practices are employed to drive fast and effective adoption of new processes. You will stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the company's financial operations. You will manage a portfolio of improvement and M&A projects. You will lead cross-functional, distributed teams with IT (particularly Enterprise Apps) to deliver solutions that effectively meet the business requirements. You will foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure successful project outcomes. You will establish milestones and deliverables and monitor adherence to schedule delivery at the milestone/deliverable level. You will be the point of contact for the managed project portfolio with respect to escalations. You will develop mitigations, contingency plans, and recommendations to management; and raise escalations further as required. You will coordinate user interactions for project activities, including requirements, testing and validation. What You Bring Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field 10+ years of experience in finance/accounting and IT/systems, with at least 5 years in a leadership role Proven track record of designing and implementing complex financial systems in a fast-paced environment Deep understanding of ERP systems, financial reporting, and compliance requirements Specific experience with Dynamics 365 for Finance, Salesforce CPQ, Salesforce Billing, Vertex, and/or Aptitude RevStream is preferred Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset and a focus on continuous improvement Experience in the technology industry, particularly in a company that sells hardware, software, and services, is highly desirable Successful experience with business process modeling and mapping requirements to technology Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills and ability to communicate business impact of design, dependencies and process Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with others, lead actions, and adapt to change Ability to work with minimal direction, "think big", and challenge conventional wisdom regarding technology hype Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups High-energy teammate with a positive attitude Benefits that Benefit You Competitive salary and 401k with employer match Discretionary paid time off Paid parental leave for all Fitness Programs Emotional & Mental Wellness support And yes, we have snacks in our offices Benefits listed herein may vary depending on the nature of your employment and the location where you work. The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 136,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 243,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
